I am a medical doctor and PhD student. My PhD focuses on the application of machine learning and deep learning models for the early diagnosis of dementia with an emphasis on developing transparent algorithms and improving their acceptability to clinicians in the memory clinic and radiology departments. Specifically, I am analysing MRI scans of Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB) patients and correlating them with cognition and other clinical measures to develop classifiers for differentiating DLB from other dementias and predict individualised patient outcomes.
